DENVER -- Summus Works, Inc. (Pink Sheets:SMMW) announces its
subsidiary BCTV has released Backcountry TV's "Balancing the
Bitterroots" for nationwide distribution. Slated to appear on
affiliates of every major network and as inflight programming aboard
major air carriers, the half hour made-for-TV episode is the latest
in the Backcountry series. A gripping expose surveying the bitter
controversy embroiling the greater Missoula area of Montana,
"Balancing the Bitterroots" explores the proposed use of national
forestland for the Bitterroot Resort development in the Bitterroot
Mountains of Montana and the universal concern of balancing economic
growth with environmentally responsible development.
"It was of especial interest to us to enter the production with a
new attention to contemporary socio-political concerns while staying
true to the recreational foundation and feel of Backcountry TV,"
said BCTV Co-creator Adam Deslauriers. The show's producers thanked
and cited the importance of parties represented in the show
including management of the Bitterroot Resort, Moonlight Basin
Resort, and The Yellowstone Club as well as the Sierra Club, Friends
of Lolo Peak, and nine-time U.S. Congressman Pat Williams.
