Economic report focus of meeting
CODY - Park County's economic future will rely more and more on maintaining the area's natural heritage, according to a report sponsored by the Cody Country Chamber of Commerce, Cody Economic Development Council, Greater Yellowstone Coalition, and thirteen local businesses.

Report author Dr. Larry Swanson, director of the Center for the Rocky Mountain West, will present his findings at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center at 7 p.m. Dec. 4.

Swanson, a PhD economist specializing in Western regional trends, synthesized historic economic data, current trends, and economic forecasts for the Cody area. His analysis and recommendations are summarized in "Roots of Prosperity: Securing Park County's Natural Heritage and Economic Future."

I think this is a crock. Park County,s future is in high priced Real Estate. This is well documented. There are few good paying jobs here anymore, so whi the H*** is buying all this over priced real estate ? Most are rich out of state transplants, not the locals who are being pushed out.
