City officials and business leaders from the
greater Bozeman area gathered at the Museum of
the Rockies to exchange opinions about how to
handle growth. It's called "Bozeman on the
Move" and today's forum played host to a
number of key players from the Gallatin Valley
and beyond.
City Manager Chris Kukulski was in the
audience along with city commissioner Jeff Kraus
not forgetting University President Geoff Gamble
and former Secretary of State Bob Brown.
The focus?... how to take advantage of economic
and demographic trends occuring, while keeping
in mind the potential pitfalls.
"How do we advance ourselves economically ...
become a more prosperous place, but at the same
time maybe become even a better place and hang
onto the attractiveness that is why people want
to live here in the first place," said Larry
Swanson.
A couple of speakers made mention of the fact
that all of the local legislators were invited
to today's event, but no one was present.
